Full-face masks cover both the patient's nose and mouth. These masks are used with patients who have nasal abnormalities, frequent nasal congestion that cannot be treated, and those who breathe through their mouths.
Fisher & Paykel Simplus
• Full-face mask that holds a great seal without having to tighten the mask to an uncomfortable setting.
• Good for patients with beards.
• Headgear has three adjustable straps, making this mask very secure.
ResMed Airfit F10
• Lightweight Full-Face mask.
• No forehead piece to cause discomfort.
• Smaller that most full face masks.
• Quiet.
• Patient can wear glasses with this mask.
• Cushion is softer than a gel mask.
Respironics Amara
• Good for patient's with smaller facial features/narrow faces.
• Available in a gel or silicone cushion.
• Available in two sizes of mask frame.
• Easy to adjust for leak with push button adjustment at forehead.
• Snaps are easy to clip on headgear.
Nasal masks cover only the patient's nose and require that the patient breathes only through the nose. These masks are beneficial for patients initiating therapy, but a chinstrap may be needed the first few weeks to ensure that oral leak does not occur.

• Frame is not hard.
• Has three points of adjustment.
• Good for side-sleepers.
• Good for patients who like to sit up and read before bedtime.
• Good for patients with contact claustrophobia.
• Tubing does swivel.
ResMed Airfit N10
• Nasal mask without the forehead brace.
• Good for patients who like to sit up and read before bedtime.
• Good for side-sleepers.
• Magnets on the bottom of the headgear for easy application.
• Tubing does not swivel or connect to the headgear.
• Vent is not direct, but is diffused around the tubing.
Respironics Wisp
• Nasal mask without the forehead brace.
• Good for side-sleepers.
• Tubing does swivel.
• Easy-off connection.
• Sizing is different compared to other masks.
Nasal pillow masks form a seal around the patient's nares. These masks require that the patient breathes only through the nose. These masks are good for patients who sleep laterally, who toss and turn, and who read prior to falling asleep.

• Nasal pillow mask that has gel cushions to reduce nose irritation.
• Gel on the headgear makes sleeping laterally more comfortable.
• Good for side-sleepers.
• Good for patients who like to sit up and read before bedtime.
